The brief
Furore were commissioned by Slazenger to increase the profile of their brand in support of substantial investment in new product development and new sponsorship deals in 2008.
Our approach
As the proud owner of the World ’Ůs longest sponsorship deal as official supplier to the Wimbledon championships the Slazenger brand has become almost synonymous with English grass court tennis. To reflect this in the advertising Furore (in conjunction with the team at Slazenger) arranged for the new Slazenger range to be photographed on the Wimbledon courts in between play at the Championships 2007. Focusing almost entirely on the products and incorporating copy influenced by famous Wimbledon sayings we were able to build on the brand values, imply a certain level of quality and prestige and communicate the tangible product benefits to the consumer.
Deliverables
A global advertising campaign, online banner advertising, trade exhibition stands, retail displays and other promotional materials.
Outcome
Following a positive response from Slazenger ’Ůs regional offices the campaign is currently being rolled out globally.
